Caithness Astronomy Group talk and observation evening. "An Even Briefer History of Time". 7:30pm at Castlehill.

Scottish Ornithological Club (Caithness Branch) evening talk, "From Sea to Summit" 7:30pm at Castlehill.
Saturday 15th November
Food Fare, A celebration of the great produce available locally. Cakes, honey, jams, pork, breads and much more. Home baking, teas and coffee to help finish off your afternoon.
Tuesday 18th November
An evening talk by RSPB, " For Peats Sake! Wildlife and Landscape of the Flows".
We have now nearly finished our new exhibition which is based on the Passage of Time, looking at the changes over the years to household items, communications etc.
We are in the process of arranging our winter talks so watch this space.
On Saturday, 1st September 2018 we are having a brooch making day with Joanne Kaar teaching techniques etc. There are still a few places so if you wish to take part phone 01847 821 120 which is the Centre.

The public astronomy talk is by regular CAG visitor Professor Martin Hendry MBE - his talk is part of the series of local IYL events that have been held this year. Martin will also be visiting a couple of Wick schools whilst in the area, to enthuse interest in space and science in .
Saturday 15th August Join Melissa and Romain of the School of Ancient Crafts as we explore how plants and herbs were used in the past. This workshop will include a spot of foraging as well as making soap with native herbs, using pot-boilers (hot stones) to heat milk and make a soft cheese, baking bread next to an open fire, and much more! Join us again on Sunday 16th August to learn how to build a prehistoric oven in which we will bake fish and bread.
