BEN & JERRY'S AND ASHOKA CORE YOUNG SOCIAL ENTREPRENEUR COMPETITION

Ben & Jerry's and Ashoka have launched the latest Join Our Core competition to find young social entrepreneurs who are creating new models for businesses that help make a difference in communities.

The competition is open to young people (aged 18-34) living in: UK, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Japan and Singapore. One winner from each of the 11 countries will scoop €10,000, get tailored business mentoring from Ashoka, and a trip to Ben & Jerry's HQ in Vermont, USA.

To be eligible for the prize entrants must be able to complete the application and converse in English (except for residents of Japan who can apply in Japanese); available on 18-20 November 2014 and able to travel to London; be the sole or co-founder of the business; and incorporate innovation, social impact and sustainability in your business model.

The deadline for entering is 15th October 2014.
