Equine Students At North Highland College Raise Funds For World Horse Welfare

Last week, the North Highland College UHI's HND Equine students handed over a cheque for £387.82 to the SSPCA. They raised the money from their puissance and jumping derby which was part of their managing an event unit.

They also raised another £387.81 for World Horse Welfare which is a charity that supports horses at home and overseas.

One of the students Alicia Beveridge said "Although the event we picked took a lot of organising and at times we felt it wasn't going to be a success, on the day it was really good fun and looking back we learned a lot from it."
