Great Chance To Go On Hoy Trip
10th May 2014
Do you fancy a trip to the second largest island of Orkney, sailing to Hoy on the Pentland Venture passenger ferry from John O’Groats.
We will then be taking the bus across Hoy from Lyness Harbour to Rackwick Bay where you can join the Countryside Ranger walking out to the famous “Old Man” sea stack or independently explore Rackwick Bay.
There is a chance (though no guarantee) of seeing whales and dolphins as well as many birds on the crossing, and on Hoy itself we may also see mountain hare and nesting great skuas.
The trip is on the 25th May 2014 running from 10:15am – 6pm (approx.) at £42pp. Booking is essential due to limited numbers. Contact Paul Castle 01847 821531 or paul.castle[AT]highland.gov.uk
Payment must be made by the 18th May either by cash to the Countryside Ranger or Debit/Credit Card to John O’Groats Ferry on 01955 611353
