Funding Opportunity - National Voluntary Organisations 16b Grants

The Scottish Government has announced that it is seeking applications under the National Voluntary Organisations 16b Grants scheme. Section 16b of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, gives Scottish Ministers the statutory power to make grants to not for profit organisations that provide health services in Scotland which are complementary to those required by statute. Section 16b grants will normally be given for either one year or three years.

The available sum for allocation in 2014-15 is £446,092. The reduced fund this year reflects the rolling nature of the funding and the number of grants offered last year which are running for more than one year. Because of this, the expectation is that most bids will fall within the range of £5,000-£7,500.

The closing date for applications is the 21st February 2014.
