Highland MSP warns drivers not to drink

Highlands & Islands (Labour) MSP and road safety campaigner David Stewart has warned drivers not to drink and drive particularly over this festive period, even the morning after.

He said “ The message is simple – Don’t do it”.

“All those agencies with experience of road collisions and road deaths will tell you how devastating it is for the families who have lost loved ones in such circumstances. Why take the risk. Drinking and driving is not socially tolerated or accepted, heed the advice from the Police and don’t become one of the sorry statistics that we all hear about. Don’t cause one of the devastating statistics that some families have to come to terms. Don’t lose it all. Our campaign heading says it all ‘Sensible Driving – Always Arriving’
