Do You Need Some Financial Help For Educational Purposes And Live in Caithness?

13th March 2013

If you live in Caithness small grants are available for wide range or educational purposes and course. Check it out.

Caithness Educational Trust

The Caithness Educational Trust was setup by incorporating a number of endowments bequeathed to the County some years ago. The invested capital generates a sum of money each year which is available to applicants, normally residents of Caithness, for projects which meet the criteria of the Trust plan.

The aim of the Trust is to provide financial assistance to individuals/schools/organisations in a variety of ways which may include course expenses, schools trips, equipment, sports facilities, music, drama and art.

Awards

Awards can be made towards the cost of course fees, travel or necessary equipment (including books) to assist an individual, or group, to undertake a course of study or activity.

An award once agreed will be paid after appropriate receipts have been submitted.

Administration

The fund is administered by the Area Education Manager, to whom all applications must be addressed.

The local Councillor will be asked to comment on and approve any award.

The Application form must be completed for each person, or group, who wishes to be considered for an award from the Trust.

Any other bursary or grant awarded to the candidate or group will be taken into consideration when determining the amount awarded from the fund.

Applicants

Applications for assistance are received for a wide variety of courses and are available for school children, students and groups.

Each applicant, or group, must be able to show the educational advantages of undertaking the course of study or activity.

Awards may also be available to help fund projects undertaken in Caithness for the educational benefit of local communities.
